Suzuha Takami Speaks at the Networking Event with Zo Village Participants and Niigata-Based Startups

On August 27, 2026, Suzuha Takami, Manager of the Business Development Team at UPCYCLE Technologies Inc., spoke at a networking event held at NINNO in Niigata City, bringing together Zo Village participants and startups and other organizations based in Niigata Prefecture.

Organized through a collaboration between Niigata Prefecture and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the event aimed to foster connections between international entrepreneurs, engineers, and investors participating in Zo Village in the Myoko and Akakura Onsen area, and startups, companies, and support organizations from across Niigata Prefecture.

During the pitch session, Takami introduced the company’s proprietary catalytic low-temperature carbonization technology, which converts organic waste, including food and agricultural residues, into biochar at approximately 130°C. She also presented the company’s vision for establishing a local resource circulation model that reduces transportation and waste treatment costs, as well as environmental impact, by processing waste directly at the point of generation.

During the networking session, Takami exchanged ideas with international entrepreneurs and engineers participating in Zo Village, as well as other professionals active in Japan and overseas. The discussions explored opportunities for the international expansion of the company’s technology and potential business partnerships, providing valuable perspectives and insights for its future development.

UPCYCLE Technologies will continue to strengthen collaboration with companies, entrepreneurs, and related organizations in Japan and overseas as it works toward the social implementation of a circular infrastructure that transforms organic waste into valuable resources.
