In August 2026, Lee Jian Tat, COO of UPCYCLE Technologies Inc. and head of the company’s overseas operations, took the stage at the Japan Stage of Techsauce Global Summit 2026, held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Techsauce Global Summit is one of Southeast Asia’s leading technology and startup events, bringing together startups, investors, corporations, government organizations, and ecosystem partners from around the world to foster new business opportunities, innovation, and collaboration.
During the pitch, Lee introduced UPCYCLE Technologies’ proprietary catalytic low-temperature carbonization technology, which converts organic waste such as food and agricultural residues into biochar at approximately 130°C.
He also presented the company’s vision of deploying compact, decentralized carbonization systems directly at waste generation sites. By processing organic waste on-site, the solution aims to reduce transportation and disposal costs, lower CO₂ emissions, and enable local resource circulation by transforming waste into valuable resources.
In addition to expanding its business in Japan, UPCYCLE Technologies is actively advancing demonstration projects and business development across ASEAN, particularly in Malaysia. Through this opportunity at Techsauce Global Summit 2026, the company aims to further strengthen its network with international companies, investors, startups, and other partners, while exploring new collaborations to address organic waste challenges across the region.
