UPCYCLE Technologies Selected as a BUSO Block Semifinalist for “LEVEL UP STAGE 2026”

UPCYCLE Technologies Inc. has been selected as a BUSO Block Semifinalist for “LEVEL UP STAGE 2026,” a business competition designed to support entrepreneurs and accelerate business growth.

“LEVEL UP STAGE” is a business support competition that helps entrepreneurs tackling social and business challenges advance their visions to the next stage and accelerate the implementation and growth of their businesses. Under the 2026 theme, “Connections Drive Business Forward,” semifinalists who have passed the initial screening will further refine their business plans through the LEVEL UP Program and presentation-based evaluations, with the goal of advancing to the final round.

UPCYCLE Technologies is developing a proprietary catalytic low-temperature carbonization technology that converts organic waste, including food and agricultural residues, into high-quality biochar at approximately 130°C.

By deploying compact, decentralized carbonization systems directly at waste generation sites, the company aims to convert waste that would otherwise be transported and incinerated into valuable resources on-site. This approach helps reduce waste disposal costs and CO₂ emissions while enabling the resulting biochar to be utilized locally as fertilizer, soil amendment, fuel, and other applications. Through this model, UPCYCLE Technologies is working to establish a circular infrastructure that transforms waste into valuable resources.

Through its selection as a semifinalist, UPCYCLE Technologies will leverage the LEVEL UP Program and connections with a wide range of companies and support organizations to further refine its business model and accelerate real-world implementation.

UPCYCLE Technologies will continue to advance the development and deployment of its proprietary low-temperature carbonization technology, working toward a new social infrastructure that combines resource circulation with decarbonization.
