UPCYCLE Technologies Selected for “NIIGATA PEAK,” a Startup Growth Acceleration Program by Niigata Prefecture

UPCYCLE Technologies Inc. has been selected to participate in “NIIGATA PEAK,” a startup growth acceleration program organized by Niigata Prefecture.

NIIGATA PEAK is designed to support the further growth of startups based in Niigata Prefecture through expert mentoring, matching opportunities with experienced business professionals, investors, and venture capital firms, as well as tailored acceleration support.

UPCYCLE Technologies is developing a proprietary catalytic low-temperature carbonization technology that converts organic waste, including food and agricultural residues, into high-quality biochar at approximately 130°C. By deploying compact, decentralized systems directly at waste generation sites, the company aims to reduce waste disposal costs and CO₂ emissions while enabling local resource circulation.

Through its participation in NIIGATA PEAK, UPCYCLE Technologies will further strengthen its business strategy and management capabilities by collaborating with experts and partners, while accelerating demonstration projects and commercialization efforts with companies and local governments.

As a startup originating from Niigata, UPCYCLE Technologies will continue to expand its business both in Japan and internationally, with the goal of building a circular infrastructure that transforms waste into valuable resources.
